America First: Happy 4th of July!

Today is July 4th, is a national holiday in the United States commemorating the Declaration of Independence of the United States, on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies were no longer subject to the monarch of Britain, King George III, and were now united, free, and independent states. This was one of the most important moments in American History, many states including Virginia were deeply involved to bring the union together.

1902 American cartoon about celebrating the Fourth of July Caption: "A False Alarm on the Fourth" Uncle Sam tells Lady Peace: "It's all right. There's no fighting. The noise you hear is just my family celebrating!"

America has always been a diverse nation since independence, like it or not the top majority has ALWAYS been Caucasian.

Fun Fact: The Philippines celebrates July 4 as its Republic Day to commemorate that day in 1946 when it ceased to be a U.S. territory and the United States officially recognized Philippine Independence. July 4 was intentionally chosen by the United States because it corresponds to its Independence Day, and this day was observed in the Philippines as Independence Day until 1962. In 1964, the name of the July 4 holiday was changed to Republic Day.

Eat hot dogs, watch football, start fireworks, because it's red, white and blue!
