Resident Evil 4 is getting a VR port to the Oculus Quest, a VR platform. People love VR gaming however, there's been controversy over discovered censorship of the game. Resident Evil 4 was originally released in 2005 for the Gamecube, PS2, and PC and later on multiple platforms and became one of the greatest video games of all time for its gameplay, graphics and story. It was originally developed and published by Japanese video game company, Capcom.
The VR version has received backlash and negative reaction from fans due to the censorship applied to it, even for Japanese audiences, removing a number of in-game animations and dialogues like flirts and ironic comments between characters, sometimes even taking away sense from the original context of key scenes to please the mainstream gaming media and the woke liberal "Social Justice Warrior" crowd. The controversy aggravated when in April 2022 the executive producer of the VR version of the game, Tom Ivey, said pro-censorship statements in an interview while talking about censoring the game as an "update" for a "modern audience"

The executive producer, Tom Ivey, of the VR version defended the censorship: “It’s The Year 2022 And Some of This Stuff Doesn’t Age Well” The Executive Producer is an American, who worked on Retro Studios from 2004 to 2013. In April 2013, Ivey left Retro Studios to join Armature Studio.
Alot of people have mistaken the censorship was Capcom's fault, but it was really Facebook's and the developer responsible for the VR port, Armature Studio from Austin, Texas.
Californian "Big-Tech" company, Facebook, the owner of the Oculus VR platform stated that the VR version of the game “also includes select changes to in-game dialogue and animations that we believe will update Resident Evil 4 for a modern audience.” In other words, "[Anyone who enjoyed the game in its original form is a knuckle-dragging neanderthal.]" - Facebook
One example of the censorship is the dialogue is when Leon discovers the corpse of an impaled women was also changed, from “Guess there’s no sex discrimination around here,” to “I guess no one’s safe here", as you can see, Liberal Americans are involved with this port, not the Japanese. Americans and other Westerners are programmed into political correctness and wokeness. The Woke mind is the virus that destroys everything it touches. Neutering and spading everything.

Given how obviously problematic the original version of RE4 must have been, why did you agree to re-release it at all? Why not work on developing a truly progressive and inclusive and non-offensive video game, instead of such sexist and misogynistic filth as you clearly believe the original to be?"
Why don't these Liberal Westerners make their "own" movies and games that's (not part of an existing franchise) written from the ground up, where the game was inclusive, progressive, pro-trans, pro-lbtq+, pro-left, anti-conservative, anti-Christian, anti-family values ... you get the picture. A compelling story with all their political rhetoric without it being obnoxious and tasteless.
You know why they won't make these kind of movies and games? Because they'll FLOP and majority of the West (and the world) will hate them. There were "woke " equivalent movies with hard-core progressive/liberal content and they flopped. Examples of progressive/liberal filmssuch as Buck and the Preacher, Farewell Amor, Book Smart, and The Worst Person in the World had mediocre or low box office results.
In Comics, Neal Adams and Dennis O'Neil's Green Lantern and Green Arrow cross-over comic in the early 1970's, we're controversial at the time over its liberal social-political themes. This made the comics have low sales on its run.
This is why they come after franchises that we love and care about, because they know already established franchises have a wider audience, so they "hack" these franchises to spread the political messages and propaganda to that wider audiences and piss everyone off.
Facebook is known for its highly tight corporate censorship, degenerate left-wing propaganda and privacy issues; so, should be advised to avoid anything from Facebook, that would be Oculus, Instagram, What's App, Messenger and Facebook itself, as new Oculus devices require all users to sign-in to Facebook.
Alot people HATE censorship of originally intended created work. You shouldn't censor things once they're already published. If they were deemed fit to publish, then don't touch them. If people don't want to watch/read/play/whatever because of their issues with the product, then they don't have to purchase and consume the product. They don't have a right to change things just so they can experience it according to their own personal preferences.
