Storyteller.pw is a free, independent Virginian web magazine (launched in 2019) that publishes politically incorrect short stories, satirical shaggy-dog tales, comics, reviews, rants, and opinions about games, movies, books, tech, and more. It is run by A. E. Firestone (also known as Æ Firestone or Mr. Firestone) along with contributors. The site is hosted on Blogger (Google’s platform) and exists to share weird, underground, and irreverent content with readers who enjoy spicy humor that doesn’t hold back.
We respect your privacy and collect only the absolute minimum needed to run the site. This policy explains what little data is involved, how it is handled, and our use of the Blogger platform.
Information We Collect
- No accounts or registration required: You can read every article, comic, and page without creating an account, logging in, or giving us any personal details.
- Comments (powered by Blogger): Comments are handled entirely by Blogger. When you leave a comment you may do so anonymously or while signed into a Google account. The comment text, the name you provide, timestamp, and your IP address are stored by Google and are visible to us (the site owners) for moderation purposes only — to prevent spam, remove abusive or off-topic posts, and keep the comment section functional. We do not use comment data for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
- Automatically collected data: As with any website hosted on Blogger, Google’s servers may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used only for basic security, troubleshooting, and anonymous usage statistics.
We do not collect sensitive personal information, sell data, track your location beyond standard server logs, or use fingerprinting.
Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies
Because the site runs on Blogger, Google may place cookies on your device to enable commenting, remember your preferences (if signed in), and provide the core blog functionality. These are third-party cookies controlled by Google.
We do not use Google AdSense or any other advertising network on this site, so there are no interest-based advertising cookies or personalized ads from us.
For full details on how Google handles data on Blogger-powered sites (including comments and logs), please see: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://www.blogger.com/privacy.
You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings at any time. Note that disabling cookies may prevent you from leaving comments.
How We Use and Share Information
- Collected data (e.g., comment details or server logs) is used only for the purposes described above: operating the site, preventing abuse, and improving content.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
- Comment data and IP addresses may be reviewed by the site owner or moderators solely for spam/abuse prevention.
- In rare cases required by law (court order, legal process, or to protect the site), limited data may be disclosed as legally necessary.
The only third-party service that processes any data through this site is Google/Blogger for hosting and comments. No other analytics tools, social plugins, or tracking services are used.
Your Rights and Choices
- You may request that a comment you posted be removed or edited by contacting us (details below). We will handle such requests as quickly as possible.
- You can opt out of Google’s use of data for certain purposes via Google’s privacy settings.
- Residents of Virginia have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA). If you wish to exercise any rights regarding data we control, please contact us directly.
Changes to This Policy
