July is the seventh month of the year (between June and August) in the Julian and Gregorian calendars and the fourth of seven months to have a length of 31 days. It was named by the Roman Senate in honor of Roman general Julius Caesar in 44 B.C., it being the month of his birth. Before then it was called Quintilis, being the fifth month of the calendar that started with March.

This month the Americans celebrates their independence on the fourth of July with Independence Day, when the United States became independent from the United Kingdom. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, political speeches, and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. At the same day, the Philippines celebrate Republic Day, in remembering their independence from the United States. 🇺🇸🎆🎇🇺🇸🦅🏈

Also, the Americans celebrate National Ice Cream Day and Hot Dog Day. 🍦🌭

In Canada, the Canadians celibates Canada Day, a federal statutory holiday, it celebrates the anniversary of Canadian Confederation which occurred on July 1, 1867, with the passing of the British North America Act, 1867 where the three separate colonies of the United Canadas, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick were united into a single Dominion within the British Empire called Canada. 🇨🇦🍁🦫

On July 3, the American territory of U.S. Virgin Island celebrates Emancipation Day. 🇻🇮

On July 6, the Americans celebrates National Fried Chicken Day. 🍗

On July 9, the Canadian territory of Nunavut celebrates Nunavut Day. ❄️

On July 24, the American State of Utah celebrates Pioneer Day. It commemorates the entry of Brigham Young and the first group of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847, where the Latter-day Saints settled after being forced from Nauvoo, Illinois, and other locations in the eastern United States. 🐎

On July 31, the American State of Hawaii celebrates, Lā Hae Hawaiʻi, the Hawaiian Flag Day. It has been celebrated each year since then. It is the same date as Lā Hoʻihoʻi Ea, Sovereignty Restoration Day, a holiday of the Kingdom of Hawaiʻi that is celebrated by proponents of the Hawaiian sovereignty movement. 🌴
